The Model 180 Dual Attack Generator is composed of two ASR envelopes with linear voltage curves. The length of the sustain phases (note duration) are determined by either gate signals or potentiometers. The envelopes thus can also be used with an AD characteristic. Small time values lead to very punchy results, perfect for creating drum and percussion sounds. While attack or note duration phases are active, the modulators can’t be retriggered. Thanks to this, it is possible to use the Model 180 as an unconventional clock divider.
